Hey there! This past month has been a whirlwind! We took an impromptu second beach vacation this summer to Grand Cayman Island at the end of August and it was so relaxing and chill! We were able to get a non-stop flight out of D/FW so we go to the beach even faster then usual! We booked at the Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa and it was amazing!! The views were gorgeous, the staff was super friendly and the food was excellent!
Out of all the island's we've vacationed on so far, Grand Cayman Island was so clean and nice we felt safe to venture off the resort alone which was nice so we didn't go stir crazy at the hotel. We rode bikes one day to get a feel of the island to grab breakfast and toured the Ritz Carlton Golf Course!
The ocean was the perfect shade of aqua and the water was HOT! Oh my goodness, we were literally in the ocean more than the pool because the ocean was WARMER which is never the case! We went to Saint Lucia in May and the water was FREEZING!! The white sandy beaches were really beautiful...Everything was super laid back which was perfect for what we were looking for.
That's Hurricane Harvey behind us!! We didn't realize what a terrible storm it was going to end up being until we got home a few days later...
The pool was also amazing, very chill and relaxing...Of course I had my turquoise on! Seriously though, next time you go to a warm weather resort take an insulated cup like one of these...they are amazing at keeping anything hot or cold and ice stays for days!!
Sunset photos are our favorite to snap when we're on vacation...ah...looking at these pictures makes me want to go back now!!
Cruising around one day in a convertible...they drive on the LEFT side of the road so the steering wheel was on the RIGHT side....it was an experience! LOL
Shopping at the hotel was awesome! I got these blinged out Jimmy Choo sunglasses and went back the last night and got another pair with gold glitter sides...:)
Hope you had a great summer! If you guys are interested in a Grand Cayman Island Travel Guide, let me know! 🙂
